For Ronan, the injuries not only serve as a reminder that humans can be just as wicked as the demons, but also became a symbol for his survival.

In the aftermath, Ronan followed his father's command to step away from the life of a hired gun and embraced the responsibility he has long avoided— which left his father absolutely thrown off by his unusual obedience, but he trusted his older brother enough to take care of their underworld business. As the second heir to the Hawthorne legacy, he soon expanded the family's business empire, successfully expanding their reach to numerous industries.
